Dixons OnLine Cust Serv Sux

Bought a Wide Screen TV from Dixons - when I got it the corner was bashed and it didn`t work - took 5 phone calls 3 emails and 1 fax before someone phoned me back to tell me they would collect 2 weeks later. Be warned - Dixons suck big time if the product is faulty! Customer service is P*** Poor.

It Dosen`t say every CD player wil intermittenly freeze... I don`t think the issue is the player.. If it dosen`t work fair enough, Give me one that does - it`s just the service is s***... No replies to my e-mails (The ones that matter)... When am I getting a pickup - RMA29522

I bought the Scan for the features it has.. Every DVD I played had problems. I also got fed up of upgrading the firmware. The customer service I am receiving is very poor. Next time I`ll just go to a local retailer and pay the bit extra.

If Your Scan is Crap and dosen`t work....

Is it down to me to pay for the postage. My friend who bought a Scan and received the same dire service didn`t.. He had his replaced twice.. and they collected. Now they want me to pay postage to send it back.. Would be interested in feedback from any other Scan users who`ve returned systems

Can anyone tell me how I create a slide of Jpegs a CD so that I can play them on my DVD player, Cause I aint got a Scooby Doo!!!

I also got the scan for the MP3 capabilities. I was watching the matrix the other day and in the fight scene there was silvery shadows appearing now and again.. apart from that I think it`s not bad. It would be better if they could display the mp3 song names/albums....

Maybe next upgrade ????

Letterbox on Scan and matrix pain

Scan DVD player with matrix...

Is there any way I can get rid of the black Letterbox around the matrix (also blade) I have tried the 3 settings in the Scan options with no luck - is this a tv thing cause it takes up a fair chuink of the TV ?

Cheers Wooler this seems! to have done the trick.. The screen came up blue with a fuzzy bar along the bottom of the screen.. Checked the version and It was OK...

Another Q you may be able to help me with - When I run Matrix or blade I get the letterbox effect. It takes up about a 40% of the screen.. Is this down to the TV. I have tried the settings in the setup/audio settings ? Any thing else I can do - Thanks

Tried copying the file to CDR and a CDRW and still dosen`t update.
Any particular software needed to do this.. Any type of CD..

How to hook up the DVD

Wires freakin` every where.

I have a TV, Video, DVD, Amp and Sky digibox- how do I hook all these up using scart
I have two sockets in the TV and DVD player, one in the digibox and video...Then I need to hook up audio cables as well is this right.... Is there an obvious way.. Cause I aint got a scooby doo..

Any help appreciated.

RE: How`d you keep a list of your films ? (if you do)

Big A4 sheet of paper with the film title written in crayon...I then sellotape it to the DVD cabinet. When I need to reference a film i scan the list.. cross reference the DVD cross reference code and retrieve from a big wooden drawer I have..When I have watched the film i put a big X next to it..Thus telling me how many times I have watched it......When deleting a DVD from my library i score throught the title with a big purple crayon. This enables me, at a glance, to see what I have and don`t have....

Anyone interested in using this method should send me £10.

Any Happy `Scan` Users

I was wondering if there are any happy scan users out there. There seems a lot of `Duff` machines going about. Are these generic problems or is it just the unlucky few who. Any users get a replacement that corrected all the problems.. I was thinking of buying one but may opt for the LG3350....
