Page 1 of Hack for LG RC199H DVD/VCR Recorder Combo

As far as I can tell, after having tried it on three machines, the 0000000 hack does NOT work.

Here is the one that does:

1. Make sure the unit is in 480i resolution.
2. Go to the SET-UP page
3. Go to the START page
4. Go to TV ASPECT
5. Highlight the 16 x 9 option
6. On the remote control enter 1397139
7. Go to option 5 and enter ff. This is the code for region-free.
8. Hit return to save.
9. Turn the power off.
10. Turn the power back on and you should be fine.

P.S. After having done this, for some reason, the disc tray refused to open and shut properly. Unplug the machine. Pause. Plug it back in and you should be fine. I have no idea if there is a connection between the two but just in case there is you will know what to do.
