Page 1 of When a bargain is NOT a bargain

A couple of days ago I received the region one version of 24 Hour Party People for what I considered to be the bargain price of £13.99. Imagine my disappointment when I received it only to find it is a single disc edition. For a quid more I could have bought the all singing and dancing region 2 double disc with stacks more extras. Be warned!

I told two of my mates at work about the Umax DVD Player + DD5.1 speakers on Ebuyer for under £100 that I saw on this forum. Both bought a system, both have got clicking speakers and one`s got a dead sub-woofer. Both have had very bad after sales support from Ebuyer......

I have to admit I nearly pre-ordered 24HR PP on region 1 but luckily bought the R2 version - I didn`t know the extras where missing from the R1 version either. I would recommend selling your R1 version and getting the R2 2 disk set. the extras are really good including interviews with people like Dave Haslam (Hacienda DJ) and Shaun Ryder (who now looks like the party lifestyle has taken it`s toll)
It all seems to have re-invigorated Tony Wilson`s career as he seems to be on TV alot at the moment.

some monkey on ebay will give you at least a tenner for it.
