RE: Lite-on dvd recorder @ TESCO`S

I brought one of these from Tesco`s from Milton keynes. It`s Liteon DD-A110 Model. Easy to setup and works at treat. I have used both DVD+ DVDRW+,DVD- DVDRW- and had no problems with recording to them. The important thing to remember is when want to use the DVD on another DVD Player or PC make such you finalise the disc! It is easy to make Multi region by
1. Press the Setup button on your remote control
2. Press the Down button on your remote control to highlight the Exit option
3. Press the 2 button on your remote control
4. Press the 9 button on your remote control
5. Press the 6 button on your remote control
6. Press the 0 button on your remote control
7. You should now be in a new menu where you can select 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or Region Free for multi-region playback
8. Press the Setup button on your remote control

It currently setup on my Sky Box + coonect the Video recorder Scart. At £68 its a barg

I had the same problem as above. DVD Recorder took over all the television regardless want I attempted to do! In the end I disconnected the scart lead from the DVD recorder and my telly went back to "Normal" again. I contacted Aldi who sent me a replacement model that supposed to work with Sky+. It Didn`t. I then read this thread and covered up Pin 8 on one end of the scart lead with some electical tape plug it back into the DVD recorder and presto it now works with my Sky+ box, video recorder via an auto scart switch!

I have also noticed the replacement model is a lot cooler then the original. 8)

Geoff,

You was right. I managed to get through to the Cancellations group. Explain the situation re the offer and was immediately offered a sky+ box with free installation, 12 months warrenty and no multi -room for £49.00.

No I did not. I just rang 08702404080 and went through to the existing customers section and they stated I cancel with them and no need to go through the cancellation department

I just rang sky on 08702404080 and told them about the offer and they stated that the only offers available were on thier webpage. I stated I wanted to cancel and they were quite happy for me to cancel. I Didn`t.
As I cannot access the AVforum cos it`s blocked from work. How do you get this offer ?

I had a simliar problem with my sky box and my one scart TV. I brought a auto selector scart device which cured the problem.

now its region free - nearly went to aldi this morning could not find a hack anywhere!

I got one this morning on my way to work. I will write a review later tonight when I set it up and tested it. In our Aldi branch they have about 50-100 for sale.

To enable Multi-Region Capability:

Without a disk in the recorder:-
on remote press \`setup\`
press \`return\`
press \`info\`
press numbers 8 8 8 then the required region (e.g. 1 or 4 or 0 etc)

a message confirming will appear on screen, wait until it disappears...

switch off and on again, and the setting is saved

Hi,

I have contacted Aldi. They have told the model is a Tevion DVDR100LB. It is Multi region ready and was supplied to them from a company called Cello electronics in the UK.
