RE: Kwik Save £49.99

The camera worked excellently for a week on alkaline batteries.
It ate batteries, even by digital camera standards. So I have experimented with rechargbles.
The manual recommends 1.2v NiMh but only seems to work with a voltage above 1.35V
Devices like this should work down to 1V.
1.27 & 1.30 NiCd Does not work
1.32 & 1.33 NiMh Does not work
1.37 & 1.40 Nicd Works
1.43 & 1.43 Alkaline works

This is what I sent to Medion.

This camera does not fully use the batteries. Your manual recommends that NiMh batteries are used, but this does not give the stated 30 mins life. The camera only works at greater than 1.35 v in my testing. well short of the 1V that represents a battery at 90% empty. Is this a fault with my camera or a generic fault in the design?
