Just been and bought one of these for £16:40 and I am well impressed with the picture quality in both Scart RGB and HDMI.
Played a few DIVX films and they all worked perfectly. I tried a Divx film off a 8mb Usb stick and played without problem.
Looks nice, very slim and black got to be the best bargain for a while.

Yes it is the unit on the link provided.
The unit has a flexible cord aerial about 2-3ft long. I have just attached it to the curtain tie back hook and it picks up about 20 stations on the DAB radio in my Yorkshire area. The signal strength will vary from location to location and I have quite a weak signal on the BBC radio stations but very strong on others.
If you check this site http://www.bbc.co.uk/digitalradio/ and enter your postcode it will tell you what to expect

I have hooked up an external 200GB Maxtor Drive and it has played everything I have thrown at it so far, MPEG, avi`s, MP3, Jpg etc. Picture is very good on both normal DVD and Divx.
Tried 1gb SD Card with Jpegs and Mp3 and worked fine.

HP EasyDVD EDR2001 DVD Recorder DIVX & USB £79

Been trying to find a decent DVD Player with Divx and USB port to plug an external HD into.
Given that search up and have started to look at recorders now. I have seen the Tesco Technika for £69 and gather this is a rebadged Umax yamada 8400x, but have seen the HP EDR 2001 in Curry`s for £79 which is Divx certified and says will play external HD on USB. Anybody have any luck in getting this to work ?

I have found that it uses the LSi Logic chipset, is this better or worse than the Mediatek chipset.
Can`t find any reviews so would appreciate any advice.

Amstrad DX3092 MPEG4 DVD Player £19.99

Just saw this in Curry`s for £19.99. It has RGB Scart, component and says it is MPEG4 compatible. It is very small A4 size and looks reasonable. Anybody know if this is any good at playing Divx, picture quality etc.

RE: Pioneer DVR420H DVD Recorder

I bought one when they first came out and I think it is an excellent machine. Very easy to record edit etc. Picture quality is excellent with RGB. I believe the Tosh has nore editing facilities but depends what you want it for, as there is no DV input I assume you won`t be using it to edit home movies.
Backing up to DVD off the HD is a breeze and very quick.

Was in Netto yesterday and they had a Tangent Audio HT50 system for £79.99.
Includes dvd player with AM/FM tuner Dolby Digital and PrologicII and 6 speakers. DVD will play mp3, jpeg etc. don`t know if it is Multi Region.
