RE: VCD Playback and Macrovision Disable on Philips MX1060D

Hi DZL,

I have this model player and have to keep entering 1 6 7 and then the region required at the time.

PLEASE can you tell me how to use the remote ONCE to make the player region free.

Thanks
Mike

RE: Philips MX1060D Region Free Code

I have this machine - purchased in Australia....region 4. When you say the machine doesn`t lock, do you mean ALL Philips mx1060d`s no matter where they are sold? Or is it possible that in some countries the unit will/does lock?

Is there a way to make it multi region without having to select the region code each time?

Thanks
Michael

Philips DVD Home Theatre system DFR 1600 (pressing mute doesn`t work???)

I am having trouble making this player a multi region player.....I have followed the Hack on this site and can easily change the region by pressing 1 or 2 etc etc........ but it states if i enter 1 6 7 and then press mute the player becomes multi region. This has not worked for me....am I doing something wrong or is there another way/button to press to make it play ALL discs without having to enter a code eack time?

Also, I have heard rumours of the "25 rule"......this being where you can only change the region a total of 25 times on your player before it LOCKS. Is this the case with this machine? If I have to keep entering a number each time to change the region - won`t the machine lock in the end???

Can someone HELP!?
