This isn’t something we normally do, but we’re sure there are some Katie Melua fans out there. Dramatico will release Katie Melua’s award winning CD album, Call Off The Search, with a bonus full-length live concert DVD. The concert runs for 73-minutes, but we don’t have details on the aspect ratio or sound format. DVD extras: The making of the “Call Off The Search” Promo Film, “The Closest Thing To Crazy” Promo Film, “Call Off The Search” Promo Film, “Crawling Up A Hill” Promo Film and Katie Melua “Starting Out 2003”. The songs are interspersed with backstage documentary style footage, including an interview with Katie, providing unique access to this year’s biggest selling artist.
Since the UK release of her debut album 'Call Off The Search' last autumn, Katie Melua has gone from being an unknown musician signed to a small independent label to being the most successful artist in Britain this year with the album selling more than 1.3 million copies and sitting at number 1 for six weeks.
The DVD contains a specially filmed piece called ‘Katie Melua On Stage and Backstage’. Filmed at Croydon’s Fairfield Hall the live concert footage features the following songs: Faraway Voice, I Put A Spell On You, The Closest Thing To Crazy, My Aphrodisiac Is You, I Think It's Going To Rain Today, Belfast (Penguins and Cats), Mockingbird Song, Crawling Up A Hill, Call Off The Search and Anniversary Song.
