Multi-Region Hacks for Maplin SMC MK2

Quick Overview
The hack listed below is non-destructive, and will not invalidate your players warranty. To perform the correct sequence of steps you will only need access to your players front panel and its remote control. Always make sure that the drive tray is empty before following the procedure listed below.

How to convert your Maplin SMC MK2 player into a multi-region compatible machine

Note this hack also works on the Bush DVD-102

To convert this player to Multi-Region
1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the buttons 2, 0, 0 and 1 on your remote control
3. Press the Enter button on your remote control
4. You will now enter the hidden setup page, and can change the player to any Region or set it to Region Free by entering 13 as the country code.
5. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to close the drive tray
