Multi-Region Hacks for CyberHome CH-DVD 402

Quick Overview
The hack listed below is non-destructive, and will not invalidate your players warranty. To perform the correct sequence of steps you will only need access to your players front panel and its remote control. Always make sure that the drive tray is empty before following the procedure listed below.

How to convert your CyberHome CH-DVD 402 player into a multi-region compatible machine

To convert this player to Multi-Region
1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the buttons 1, 3, 6 and 9 on your remote control, in order, one at a time
4. Press the Left button on your remote control
5. Press the Left button on your remote control
6. Press the Left button on your remote control
7. Press the Right button on your remote control
8. Select the new Version option from the menu
9. You will now be able to change the value to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
To convert this player to Multi-Region if the above does not work
1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Press the buttons 1, 3, 6 and 9 on your remote control, in order, one at a time
4. Press the Left button on your remote control
5. Press the Left button on your remote control
6. Press the Left button on your remote control
7. Press the Right button on your remote control
8. The word Version should appear in the menu, highlight this option and then press the Right button on your remote control to highlight the code B40016c
9. Press the buttons 1, 3, 6 and 9 on your remote control, in order, one at a time
10. You will now be able to change the value to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
To convert this player to Multi-Region if the above does not work
1. Press the Open/Close button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Using your remote control, highlight but do not select the Exit Setup option in the menu
4. Press the buttons 1, 3, 6 and 9 on your remote control, in order, one at a time
5. Press the Left button on your remote control, three times, in succession
6. Press the Right button on your remote control
7. Select the new Version option from the menu
8. You will now be able to change the value to 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
To convert this player to Multi-Region if the above does not work
1. Press the Set-up button on your remote control
2. Select the General option
3. Select the Parental option
4. Change the 8:OFF option to another selection, for example 2:G
5. Select the Password option
6. Enter the password 1, 3, 6 and 9
7. Enter the password 1, 3, 6 and 9 once more
8. Press the Set-up button on your remote control
8. Proceed with the previous hack or hacks as described above
