How to convert your Marantz DV4200 player into a multi-region compatible machine





To change the region on this player

1. Press the Pause button on your remote control

2. Press the buttons 3, 1, 4, 1, 5 and 9 on your remote control, in order and one at a time

3. The onscreen display should show the word CODE followed by the currently set region

NB: On some models this may appear on the LCD display instead

4. Press 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2, 3 for Region 3, or 4 for Region 4, or 0 for multi-region

5. Press the Pause button on your remote control
To display the factory default settings (or current settings) of your player

NB: This is important in case any of the hacks on this page do not work and you need to return the player to its original settings

1. Press the Pause button on your remote control

2. Press the 1 button on your remote control

3. Press the 4 button on your remote control

4. Press the 7 button on your remote control

5. Press the 2 button on your remote control

6. Eight numbers should appear on the LCD screen, these show the current settings of the player
To enable VCD/SVCD playback on this player

NB: This may disable composite outputs

1. Press the Break button on your remote control

2. Press the 1 button on your remote control

3. Press the 4 button on your remote control

4. Press the 7 button on your remote control

5. Press the 2 button on your remote control

6. Press the Enter button on your remote control

7. Using the Up button on your remote control, highlight the 4 DE option on the display

8. Press the Program button on your remote control

9. Press the 4 button on your remote control

10. Press the Program button on your remote control

11. Press the 5 button on your remote control

12. Press the Enter button on your remote control

13. Press the Return button on your remote control

14. Power off your player

15. Power on your player
