Multi-Region Hacks for Hitachi Hitachi HTD-K160

Quick Overview
The hack listed below is non-destructive, and will not invalidate your players warranty. To perform the correct sequence of steps you will only need access to your players front panel and its remote control. Always make sure that the drive tray is empty before following the procedure listed below.

How to convert your Hitachi Hitachi HTD-K160 player into a multi-region compatible machine

To change the region on this player
1. Open the drive tray
2. Press the Volume Up button on your remote control
3. Press the Language button on your remote control
4. The on screen display will show the currently selected region code
5. Using the Up and Down buttons on your remote control, change the region to 1 for region 1, 2 for region 2, and so on, or 0 for multi-region playback
6. Press the Enter button on your remote control
