Saw this Medion camera in Kwik save. Very small fits in the palm of your hand, 4 x digital zoom.. Looks excellent value. Tried to find some info on the Medion web sites but no luck

Think it would be worth looking for a camera with an optical zoom. A good camera, as mentioned recently in this forum, is the Canon A60, only 2.0MP, but fantastic quality for the price (was £99 @ Amazon although currently out of stock) There is also a free 128mb compact flash card offer with any canon camera via mum plus one as per previous posting

I have one of these, its real small, around the size of an ink cartridge. added a 64 meg sd card and took it on hols took 147 pics at medium res with loads of room left. It will also record movies with sound up to memory capacity. Top bargain

How many pictures and how much video can you take with the camera with the standard memory?
What batteries does it use?

Better buy the X20 quick, out of production now. Ebuyer are doing them for about £95.17 Superb value.

X20 takes standard 2 x AA - go for rechargeables and as much video with sound as you like dependant on sd memory capacity. The X20 gets a better write up than its replacement the X21 !

The X20 is an excellent camera but if you want a brand name 3MP camera it may be worth considering the Pentax Optio 33L from Argos for £109.99
link.

Or there is the Canon Powershot A70 for £155 + delivery
here having owned a A40 I`d recommend it if you want a more flexible camera rather than just a point-and-shoot model.

Or you can get what must be the cheapest 5MP camera from a recognized manufacture the KODAK DX4530 available as a Web special from Dixons

If you have to buy on the high street the A70 is on sale at Argos for around £180 or you could try getting Jessops to price match (not with Pixmania though as the camera has to be UK sourced).
