LG DP771 Portable DVD Region Hack
posted by Seahorse007 on Wednesday, 25th July 2007, 08:26
1. Go to this link:

http:/alge.anart.no/~andersgo/dvd/

(cut and paste this into the address bar if necessary)

2. " Making the AIWA HV-DH1 DVD/VCR player multiregion" instruction page will appear. Click on the aiwa_hv-dh1.zip link and a download will occur. The instructions say to unzip this file with WinZip before burning it, but I didn't do that and it worked anyway on my iBook G4.

3. Burn the downloaded RMTM0000 folder onto a disc

4. Insert the disk into the LG DP771 player and choose region '0' for region free (using the remote, select '0' and then 'enter'.)

That's it!

Don't let it throw you off that all the titles say it's for AIWA or for the LG 5000 series. This method instantly worked for me. Good luck!
