Page 1 of Region hack fot Philips DVP 3040

Hello mates,

Bought myself Philips dvp3040/12 VN2G******* so 2g series

BE Version: DVP3040_12.58
FE Version: DC0.KHM313.2C.03
DSP Version: Dsp.01
Region Code: 2


Cant get the region code changed to 0 it shows the firmware info with 9966 but if i press 99990 it is doing nothing.
And the other hack with preference menu also wont work beacause i dont have one in my menu.

this is the only other one me know

Turn On the player
Open the tray
Press the following sequence on the remote: 7, 8, 9, OK and 0
The number 0 will appear on the lower left side of your screen
You have now a region free DVD player

Thanks for your intrest but your given solution diddnt work. I dont have ok key in my remote and it didnt work without it.

Open tray
Press 98790
Done!
