Page 1 of Multi region hack needed for Samsung DVD-P355K

Could anybody please tell me how to turn Samsung DVD-P355K DVD palyer, bought in
region 5, into multi region player? (To region nine.) I desperately need it! Thank you for your time!

Try this ...The code is supposed to be for a Region 5 Player

Note the comments on the Repeat Button

1- No Disc in the Player
2- Press "Repeat" on Remote Control
3- Press 5, 3 , 8 , 1 , 4 .... (This is for Player Purchased in Region 5 Code)
4- Region Code will appear on the screen (Upper Left)
5- Change Region Code, 1 - 6 ( 9 For Region Free )..By Pressing the Number on the Remote Control.
6- Wait for 20 Seconds ...or until "No Disc" Appears on Screen
7- Press "Open Disc" on the Player
8- Press "Power" on Remote Control

There are Two Repeat Buttons on the Remote Control, Use the Bottom Right hand One. Do NOT confuse yourself with the "Repeat A-B"
Button.

Other Codes For Step 3...Remember these codes are for where the player is purchased ...not to apply the Region.

RC 1: 2, 9, 3, 3, 4
RC 2: 3, 8, 7, 6, 7 (or 5,7,5,3,8 )
RC 3: 5, 6, 7, 3, 2
RC 4: 7, 6, 8, 8, 4
RC 5: 5, 3, 8, 1, 4
RC 6: 2, 4, 4, 6, 2

I used instructions sent by Hackeroonie and it worked perfectly! I was able to change my
Samsung DVD-P355K regional code from 5 to 9. Thank´s a lot!
Wish you all successful hacking from region five!

i`m living in Estonia and we have these kind of letter : äöõü and p355k does not support these letter i asked the samsung.com guys for info but they told there isn`t any firmware out. so if any of you guys could help out with some tips or smthn. it would totally rock. :)
