thanks for the last reply,well i have another dvd player i.e phillips 880 please could someone help me out with a hack for this one if one is available,with easy step by step instructions,many thanks.....................hicks46

Wow this is an old model.
If this is the DVDR880 then theres only one way to make it multi region successfully.

There is a CD available for this. I will have t ocheck my archive. I`ll get back to you.

Even if they did have to follow instructions to make the disk themselves

Beware Folks there are plenty of people trying to SELL you hacks that are available for FREE

Thank you for your comments. I can understand that there are free work arounds out there.

But they are not always stable. I`ll give you an example:

A Customer buys from my store a Toshiba SD330 about two years ago, at the time Toshiba were not supplying me with the firmware upgrade for this unit.

I looked on the net to find a hack. Found a remote control work around. And yes it did work. But 7months down the line the amount of customers coming back to me with the players, saying the multi region does not work anymore was crazy.

So I took a unit, and upgraded the firmware with the software finally supplied to me by Toshiba. and made 100`s of discs and sent them out to my customers. And I now suffer no more come backs.

This was a nightmare.

But the software I provide is gauranteed to work, as its from the manufacturers.

Just follow Hackeroonie`s link, it works fine.

You don`t need to pay, all you need to do is follow the instructions.

Done mine fine a few years ago.

Which one worked for you? The first one?
I have tried those with no luck. May be I need to try again.
Was thinking of trying the all4one fix using my laptop IR port. Tried the link with the file, but haven`t had any luck so far.
