Page 1 of Red DVD (bought from Sainsburys) - Multiregion Hack Required

Bought a cheapo dvd from Sainsburys for my son, but wont play region 1 (most of my collection), brand name is RED, anyone know of a hack?

Try this.

Open tray.
Input 2812
Press enter until region 9 appears at the top. This is multi region. 1 to 5 are individual regions. I think this machine is made in China by Gao He Wang

im having the same trouble with the sainsburys red model 585-208
nothing seems to happen when i try the hack suggested - 2812 etc.. have you had any luck?

I bought the Red DVD Model No: 585-207 from Sainsbury which is probably the smaller DVD player from the one discussed and the manual tells me it`s set up for region 2. However the hack 2812 posted by dicon worked for me and in actual fact it was already set up for region 9 which I guess means it`s multi region unfortunately as I only have region 2 disks I can`t test this.

I have recently bought Red 585-208 DVD Player from Sainsburys but it accepts only Region 2 DVD`s. I want to make it a multi region one. Can someone plz help me in giving me the code to crack it. My email address is yam2_ahdaruna[at].moc.oohay

just wondered if you amnanged to get a hack for this dvd player ,i take it you mean the RED dvd player I bought one of these but have the same prob would be great to be able to play my US dvds on it
