Page 1 of Multi Region Hack for Beko 14D502S - I found one

Bought my son a Beko TV/DVD combi.

When he tried it, the DVD player was multi region.

Then he auto set up the TV channels and now the DVD player is region 2 only.

Anyone know how to get it back to multi region?

Or does anyone know what other brand name Beko would come under then I can try one of their codes?

Multi Region Hack for Beko TV/DVD combi 14D502S

This hack is temporary for as long as your set is ON or, in STANDBY mode. As soon as you switch off power, the hack is lost. Then you have to go through the process again.

But, until a permanent hack is found, this will have to do.

I'm assuming your TV/DVD is set Region 2.


1 ) Switch on as if you were going to watch a DVD
2 ) Put a 'Region 1' DVD in the tray and, close tray. (this hack only seems to work if you use a R1 DVD at this part)
3 ) Wait for 'Wrong Region' message to appear on screen
4 ) Press 'DVD Setup' button
5 ) On the 'General Setup' page go to 'Last Memory' and change to 'Off'
6 ) Press 'Standby' button (usually the red round one)
7 ) Press any button to take set out of standyby mode
8 ) Press 'TV/DVD' button to get back to DVD player
9 ) As disc is trying to load, press 'GOTO' button then repeatedly press the '1' button.

If it works, the DVD will start to play or it will take you to the DVD menu page.

(sometimes, it may say `Wrong Region`, but play the disc with no sound but, with subtitles on. Switching off subtitles solves that problem and it plays fine.)

If this hack doesn't work, it will say 'Wrong Region' again and chapter numbers will come up on screen. You will have to start the process again after switching off mains power.
