The first two suffered from being directed by Christopher Columbus who has no visual flair whereas the latter couple have had plot holes and gaps in the narrative that will be filled by those familiar with the source material but confuse everyone else. I`ve been left cold by every HP film except Azkaban and, as I`ve said elsewhere here, the series really needed more directors like Cuaron such as Gilliam and del Toro, who know how to do fantasy films.

To be fair the Harry Potter series are okay, they are aimed at kids, and at the same time aimed at adults to enjoy the series with their kids,

I particularly like the series even more because it upsets the entire population of hardcore christians, that in itself gives them a thumbs up from me.

Not to go off-topic to much but i remember the controversy when the film version of Northen Lights came out. Will Philip Pullman`s other novels be adapted into movies?

I love the Harry Potter movies for what they are, pure entertainment. They make me feel like a 10 year old again.
