New Prodigy album... what do u think?

Ben Franklin (Reviewer) posted this on Wednesday, 21st July 2004, 12:04

Have only listened right through it once, and it definitely needs to be played a few more times, but I`m liking it alot. The opening track, `Spitfire` is superb, and just about everything else is on par with it.

Your thoughts people? :D

It`s not easy being different. It`s not easy being cool....but somehow I manage....

Its only available through certain `Distribution channels`.......... ;)

I like it. Its not a great album and wont stand many listens (although i may go back on that in a few weeks time), but the sigh of relief i breathed when i heard he had trashed all his babys got a temper-esque work was immense.

Its got some pretty catchy stuff on there and the tune with juliette lewis is pretty good. Its not their best, but better than fat of the land. And I wont even mention `fuel my fire`, `serial thrilla` and `Babys got a temper` because they make me cry.

What im listening to (if youre interested)

I liked Fat of the Land

"Babys got a temper" seemed to me liek it should have been a B-Side to one of the singles of Fat of the Land! Video was very strange, was worth buying single for that!

New album is called "Always outnumbered never outgunned" last I heard, we`ll see.

Thing, it`s been so long since last CD, that if I don`t like it I won`t be sure that it`s cos the album is not so good, or my tastes have evolved. Saying that it may be good, doubt it will be as good as that new Orbital though, that rules :)

This new album seems quite good. I listened to it a few times over the weekend, seems to have a bit more depth than Fat of the Land, more "Interesting" techy sounds.

Not really pushing any boundries, but I`m glad it isn`t just more of the same

I like it myself, all depends what "mood" you`re in I suppose, that`s the beauty of music!

I`m pleasently surprised, still listening and enjoying it! I thought I may have "outgrown" them, but I think it`s really good.

I wasn`t particularly impressed on the first listen, but I`ll give it another go. Oh how I long for the halcyon days of Music for the Jilted Generation (back when Liam wrote `proper` music)...

Spitfire is the stand out track for me. The rest seem like fillers.

The raw energy of FOTL just seems to have faded in the last 8 years
