Scan SC-2000 or Wharfedale 750s?

I want to buy a decent budget DVD player, and I have narrowed it down to these two models. There does not seem to be much between them, so, apart from oft-discussed problems with faulty machines etc., which machine has the edge?

Go for the Aiwa, is a re-badged LG 3200 with MP3+VDC+very good picture, silent drive and a good remote, you can aim at the ceiling and the unit pick it up.

The Whafedale is also very good, but sometimes you can hear the drive whirring away over the films, and you have to aim the remote directly at the player for it to register, and forget the Scan/Daewoo the picture is very bad indeed.

When referring to the Scan SC-2000 DVD player, you have to remember that the current model doesnt reflect the Daewoo model in regards to DVD play back.

The new Scan player has a new Mpeg decoder card which can be upgraded with firmware. (when nelley gets it from the manufacturer.)

I own the new Scan-2000 player and have no complaints. The DVD Picture is extremely good for a low priced Player. Better then VHS anyway. Plays MP3 files from CD-R, CD-RW formats aswell as normal CD music discs. It`s fast aswell...
(I think the new scan 2000 is becoming a big underground hit with low budget customers).....
www.lektropacks.co.uk sells a CM-1 video copy box which enables you to copy from DVD to VHS.... if you want to backup you DVD`s... Ermmm?
