I wonder what the problem is?
I mean overall my 505`s picture has been verygood, I did buy it in august before it went on mass sale.

I wonder if the slight grain on some DVD`s is the problem?
I hope it is as I am very happy with the reliability of the player, and when Hitachi release the improved player I can swap mine for the newer model:)

But knowing my luck and DVD Reviewer magazine october review which stated the 505 suffered from jaggies on curves etc. Which I have not noticed on mine, probably means a bad new batch!

Oh well will wait for the 705:)

afraid not old boy my 505 is great.
just like people have recieved good & bad mico`s, it appear`s to be a problem with a batch of the zoran III mpeg chipset, which a lot of players use including Denon and the Mico!

Besides Troll I have heard quite a few mumbles about the LG3350 in the last few day`s but we wont go into that for the sake of diplomacy.
