PS3 Rcorded DVDs Setting Help Required

Jackie Stait (Competent) posted this on Monday, 13th August 2007, 20:32

I have just played one of my recorded DVDs on the PS3 and it comes up with two black lines down the side of the screen even though it is set to letterbox can anyone help me? I use the same setting on my Hi Def Toshiba Player and it doesn`t have the black lines down the side of the screen which is why I am puzzled. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

What shape is your TV? You only use Letterbox if you have a 4:3 (old square shaped) TV but want to retain the aspect ratio of a recording.

If you have a 16:9 widescreen TV, you need to set the PS3 to 16:9

I don`t know what other options might be listed on the PS3 as I don`t have one. Try altering the settings until you find the right one.
