Has anyone bought a PSP online?

deano59 (Competent) posted this on Saturday, 19th November 2005, 18:32

Hi
I would like to get one of these ASAP - definately before the 9th of December - has anyone bought one yet - I`d like the value pack if poss -and will spend between 180 and 230. Has anyone bought it off one of the ebay sellers - if so are you satisfied and are there any more available from that seller.
Best Wishes
Dan

i got one from this fella`s EBAY SHOP & despite having a problem with the battery (which he sorted & returned the psp next day) he was excellent & the psp got sent out via special delivery next day (so you get it before 1pm next working day :D ) tho he doesn`t have any listed at the moment you could try pm`ing him as he probably has stock but ebay keep pulling the import psp`s out :(

this is the one i got WHITE PSP & i`m very happy with it :D

I bought my son one from a London seller via ebay in May,but it went wrong and getting it changed was difficult.
Now he`s bought a white one from Hong Kong and its working fine.
However unless you want one (like the white one) thats unavailable in the UK I would buy from a local store.
Even the reputable dealers like Movietyme will only give a 30 day warranty, after that they expect you to contact Sony to sort things out.
So you won`t save much by buying online ,but it could be more trouble than its worth

I can help you, there is a website that sells psp`s quite cheaply online, they ship free from hong kong and even pay the VAT and import duty the website is www.yesasia.com
i recomend getting the giga pack for 190 pounds as it comes with a 1gb memory stick.

That still won`t sort out the problem of what happens if it goes wrong.
If it does, not only will all non UK sellers expect you to deal with Sony after 30 days,if it goes wrong within 30 days, you pay for the shipping back to Hong Kong/japan or wherever it goes too
