JVC DR-MH20 are they any good?

Jackie Stait (Competent) posted this on Thursday, 7th April 2005, 19:16

Hi there

I was thinking about getting the [disctitle]Liteon 5045[/disctitle] recorder but I have read too many bad reviews on this machine. Anyway I am now going to choose the [disctitle]JVC DR-MH20[/disctitle] the only thing is I can`t find any reviews on it so I am assuming that they are a good machine.

I have found one of these at Empire Direct for £279.06 which I think is a bargain, if anyone out there has one of these machines could you please tell me how they are and what are the menu screens like on the dvds?

Many Thanks

:/ Jackie :/

Jackie. This dvd has had very good reviews in What Video and Home Cinema. Sound & Vision has this on offer at £251.

Hi Tasker

Thanks for that I had a choice of two machines that I was undecided about but I find myself always coming back to this machine.

Can anyone help me it says there are 18 designs for DVD Menu screens is this correct and are they easy to edit.

Many thanks
Jackie

Jackie

I`ve had a DR-MH20 for about 2 months now and they are very good machines.

The 18 DVD menu`s referred to are simply the background wallpaper (stars, colours, shapes etc) You choose one when finalising a disc. There`s not anything to edit in them.

It takes a bit of time to get used to using the machine and the instructions look a bit daunting at first. But once you`ve had a go it`s fine.
