Page 1 of remote not working with digisender

forgive if its simple solution but i bought new telly for bedroom and digisender tranw from currys
picture and sound are very good but cannot change the channel of the sky
receiver is connected to sky with main tv`s scart piggybacking on to it
is it possible to ab able to change channel of sky transmission in the bedroom

Did it not come with an infra red extender (usually called IRDA or something) ?

It won`t be able to change the channel just on the strength of being hooked up via SCART. Certainly the Aldi one came with this extender.

on the box it says it will extend the remote but there is no irda etc
there is an ir mouse attached to the transmitter and receiver
it has just got transmitter receiver ,2 mini scarts and 2 adapters
