Page 1 of Which macrovision lead?

I have heard about theses macrovision leads for backing up your (my) DVDS. My mate bought one called "Macrovision Disabler". It is a box which you plug a scaft into and out of. But every 15 mins if flashes black & white for a second. Does the one from SONEL do this or is it 100% ok. Many thanks. Sam

i think its cheaper to get a budget dvd player where you can enter a hack to switch off macrovision. e.g. some cyberhome dvd players.

Its to copy my VHS`s as well

I`ve used the Sonel gizmo to copy commercial VHS tapes to DVD, for home consumption naturally. No problems at all, particularly when powering up the lead with a few volts. Can`t speak for DVD to DVD however.

The leads from Sonel and KT Vision both work well and cost £20-£30.They enable vhs and dvd copying aswell as allowing recording of Sky Box Office.
