Page 1 of Samgung R100 DVD Recorder

I asked this a few weeks back but alas, it became the dreaded zero reply thread!

I don`t actually believe the new Samsung machine exists - no reviews anywhere, nobody seems to have it - it`s not real!

The features look good on it, though: it`s DVD-RAM , +/-R, +/-RW and it has an i-link. All for under £200.

Hope somebody has some comments on it soon, then I`ll know whether to buy it or not...

I am interested in this machine too. Argos have it in their catalogue for £249 but its cheaper on other web sites. If you try Argos ring and reserve you get a messge "not available to mid October" so I guess it doesn`t exsit yet. Not much information about it on the Samsung website .I requested a brochure but nothing has come yet.

On sale here but not sure of stock info. Looks good apart from no RGB

Well, as for whether it`s got RGB in...

Here`s what I sent to Samsung a few weeks ago.

Make of that what you will. I was encouraged, but on balance none the wiser. I can`t help but wonder if the information is any more accurate than the grammar.

I might email them again when I`ve actually seen some reviews for the bloomin` machine!

I also had problems tracking down the spec`s on this recorder, but after a bit of searching I found some links you may want to see.
But just in case you couldn`t be bothered, heres what I found,
It does have RGB input and output, progressive scan. picture in picture (pip), 12 hours recording on a DVD ram disc and plays MP3 music.
What the hell is wrong with Samsung don`t they want to sell their products?
Oh, and I think the only difference between DVDR100E and DVDR100 is that the E stands for Europe.
