Page 1 of Liteon 5001 firmware upgrade

All,
can you help me, I,ve just bought one of the above from Currys, very nice unit, good results on SP (two hours) good price £149.But to be able to use the recorded disks on other machines Currys told me that I would have to get an upgrade (I imagine that this would be classed as firmware) from the Liteon site, but I can`t find it can anybody help ?

But your problem playing discs on other machines could be fixed using discs
that liteon recommend.

I`ll give you a example, my mate has the same recorder and hade the same problem as you , he used pc-line discs , the played fine on the recorder but not on his sony player , he now uses TDK dvd-r with no problems . Don`t know if this work with you , just experiment with different makes of discs to see what work.
