The reason to this is cos I have had lots of problem with my last Sony TV. Also that panasonic one you have mention has top reviews it a great TV,

U cant go wrong with that one. But stay clear from the sony.

Well, the "Guy in the trade" (me! lol) has to agree this time with Andy.

Panasonic are far suprerior at the moment.

Although I could go for the cheapie Sony 100hz 28" that I can have for £540....if it was a Panny, I wouldn`t even hesitate, but it`s a Sony, so I aint sure yet....

Mind you...no one else knows it`s there...only me! lol..just in case! :o)

AIWA 370 (officially) ROCKS!!!!!!!

After owing a normal Sony Wega for 3 years I wanted a widescreen and like yourself I’ve been after a good 100Hz TV for some time, and got a 100hz JVC for a real good price, and was sharper than the equivalent Sony, which was next to it in the shop. but it’s not as good as the Panasonic by far, poor convergence, too much red, but after tweaking the service mode I’m now happy, but wish I’d payed the extra for the Panasonic.

Go for the Panasonic defiantly better than Sony`s offerings at the moment, non of that usual blurring in motion, especially when displaying grass, when it moves the detail is lost and only returns when stopped, I’ve noticed this annoying artefact on Philips 100Hz, Hitachi 100Hz & Sony 100hz, but not the Panasonic nor JVC. The Hitachi in fact was abysmal, with noticeable tearing on fast moving pictures.

P.S. Panasonic are due to release a new TAU set which has incorporated Dolby Digital & DTS, which my brother is waiting anxiously for!

Good luck

Your correct there Loz. Pana are coming out with a great kit. Mind you I am not a panasonic Fan at all. I am not fan to any firms. I Buy what I feel are good for the price I pay. And at this moment I have a Panasonice 32" widesreen tv aswell as Sky digital box and VCR. Strange enough I got a pioneer DVD player as it was better than the top of range Panasonic DVD player.

I have to say. I agree that you should get the panasonic TV at this stage

Thanks for the help guys!!!!!

I think I`ll go with the TAU, and the Pioneer DV-636D.
Can you tell me something about the TAU?

What type of inputs does it have?
S Video, Component, Composite, AV (stereo)?

And where can I find out what these different connection types are and what makes them different from each other?

Thanks a billion
