Page 1 of Pal to NTSC question

I am writing from California US, dont know if anyone there can answer my question, cant find any US sites that seem to help. Here is my problem.. i have started getting some region 2 discs, i have read of many hacks for turning your region 2 players to multiregion, and have tested those for the Aiwa 370 and Phillips 711 and havent been successful in them workin yet. Does anyone know if it makes a difference whether they are from US or UK, does anyone know if they will force a pal signal to an NTSC tv, and if i needed to, would it be possible to buy a player from the uk and have it shipped to the states. Any feedback would be helpful... thanks

i dont know what its like over there but over here our modern tv`s play both pal and ntsc disk`s so check your tv to see if it does, and as for your dvd player it should play both but select ntsc or auto in the setup
