Does anyone know how to make this player multi-region so I can try it on plasma TV using the on board progressive scan rather than just the component out

the lecson dvd 1000 from debenhams has a hack and works ok
open disc tray( hand set ) press intro numbers 20110 close disc tray tv scren should now say SET OK

Yes, that works.
To set specific regions (eg. for RCE discs), change the last zero in the code to the region number. So to set region 1 you`d use 20111.
Follow the rest of the instructions as Torchy lists them.
