Model :LG DR386D

This is a DVD recorder with Super Multi and Enhanced Timer for convenient recording.

1. Open Tray

2. Go into the Home Menu

3. Go to Settings

4. Go to Manufacturers Lock option

5. DO NOT GO across on the menu to enter the 4 figure code.

6. Input {numeric} 0000000

7. ENTER

8. The display on the TV will come up saying- Congratulations you are now multi region.

9. OK

I CONFIRMED THE ABOVE MAKES MODEL LG DR386D MULTIREGION

Hi,

Just tried this hack but there is no `Settings` tab in the menu list. The closest one is a `Setup` tab, but there is no `Manufacturer`s Lock` option in here either. There were a few lock options like area and suchlike and I tried the `0000000` code in all of these areas to no avail.

What firm/soft ware release did you use this hack on?

I`ve edited the OP to match my experience when using the DVD.

Model :LG DR386D

This is a DVD recorder with Super Multi and Enhanced Timer for convenient recording.

1. Open Tray

2. Go into the Home Menu

3. Go to Easy Menu-Setup

4. Select Padlock icon (third in the list from the top)

5. DO NOT GO across on the menu to select an option, leave the icon selected only

6. Input {numeric} 0000000

7. ENTER

8. The display on the TV will come up saying- Congratulations! Region Change Free!

9. Press Enter

I CONFIRMED THE ABOVE MAKES MODEL LG DR386D MULTIREGION

Repeating this process restores the Region lock.
