I have this DVD player which is older but thoroughly excellent quality. Does anyone know the hack to make it multi-regional please?

Theres no handset hack that you can enter via the players own remote for any Pioneer model. And on older Pioneer models such as this one, you can only mod it via a firmware upgrade via the players service port on the rear panel (its behind a small slit in the metal).
You can still have it done, you`ll need to search for dealers whom still support this model though with a google search via this link
