Page 1 of Bush DVD-142 TV hack wanted - unusual version - please see screenshot

Like many others I have a Bush DVD-142 combi unit which does not respond to any of the remote hacks on this site.

I have decided to upload a screenshot from my machine which can be seen
here.

Can anybody help? I have been told that this version resembles a Cyberhome 501 or a 628 and have even tried updating from the Cyberhome firmware discs. Although the unit recognises the firmware update discs and starts to boot them OK, it fails to run the update facility and gets stuck.

Can anybody help with identifying this version of the Bush DVD-142 and offer advice regarding a multiregion hack?

try this
press dvd function on your tv set
press dvd setup on your remote control
press 1 3 6 9
immediately press the left arrow button 3 times
immediately press the right arrow button
the screen should now show VERSION
select this and change the region to 0 for multi-region

if no good then try this
press dvd on tv set
press setup on tv set
press 1 9 9 9 on your remote control
you should now see a secret menu
change to 0 for mult-region

Thanks for reposting the info but I have already tried these methods. The DVD doesn`t have a DVD function button although I have tried the play, stop and eject buttons which are on the front of the set! To make matters worse, neither the TV or remote have a `setup` key. All DVD settings are controlled via the `INFO` button on the remote and yes, I have already tried that!

I have read on another site that this unit ships `multi-region`.. I have not tried yet..

But can anyone tell me which button is the DVD-Set up button?

All I can find is INFO on the remote and MENU on the TV.
