Harman Kardon DVD-50 Hack

woody77 (Harmless) posted this on Tuesday, 12th October 2004, 10:41

Guys,

Have just moved my Region 1 player to Australia (region 4)

The Harman Kardon hack on this site doesnt work for the DVD 50. Does anyone have a DVD 50 that has applied a multiregion hack.

Urgently thanking you all.

TURN ON DVD
WAIT UNTIL NO DISC IS DISPLAYED
PRESS 3 1 4 1 5 9
THEN PRESS 0 FOR MULTI REGION
DISPLAY SHOULD NOW SHOW POWER ON

THAT SHOULD BE IT M8
YOU COULD ALSO SET YOUR REGION BY
INSTEAD OF PRESSING 0
YOU COULD PRESS 1 FOR REGION 2 FOR REGION ECT ECT

HOPE IT WORKS

Ok,

I`ll give that ago. I tried heaps of different ones. Its not entirely a trainsmash, as I can rip my region4 dvd`s to DVD-R and remove the region encoding.

I just wanted to clear up, by turning off the DVD player, you are refering to standby (as in the power button is orange, not green. )

I know theres a firmware update from Harman Kardon but I cant seem to get hold of someone is AU to get it.

Needs a firmware upgrade, contact your Harman Kardon dealer for it.

Just to clarify are you talking about the dvd upgrade that you can get from Harman Kardon`s website?
