Page 1 of SONY DVPS336 hardware hack only??

Can anyone let me know if this can only be changed to multi region by hardware hack and if so who is the cheapest.
I`m well aware that most SONY DVD players are hardware hack only just checking

Yes chipping only .... make sure you check if the mod will work with RCE disks ... (ours wont ) obviously the non RCE compatible mod should be cheaper .. some mods also disable macrovision .....
It remains to be seen if RCE will become a problem .... as far as I know only the patriot has this type of protection...

Who is the cheapest ?? Dunno probabily me for non RCE mod but have a look around ....

I believe that the chips supplied by multiregion magic are both RCE complient and also disable macrovision.

I`ve just had a look on their web site, and they offer 2 different mods for the 335/6. One appears to be as you say non-macrovision disable and non-RCE complient, and the other which is £10 more expensive does.
