Just bought the above, would like to be able to play all regions on it.

try this and hope it works. It was a deleted threat an a web site.
press menu
press 610695 play
the screen will now show r1

I`ve never heard of a remote hack for a Tosh model.

Stupid question for the week, How do you turn it back from region 1??

Did you mange to turn it to regon 1?
I am afraid I do not have other information.

I HAVE JUST SEEN YOUR QUESTION AND THE POSSIBLE ANSWER TO IT BY PALMIRIS, ON HOW TO CONVERT YOUR DVD TO MULTI REGION.
CAN YOU TELL ME IF IT WORKED AS I WAS LOOKING FOR THE SAME THING. CHEERS.

Nah, I have not tried it. If it does work and changes my player to region 1 then I`m buggered cos he and I dont know how to turn it back into region 2. Looks like I`m going to have to spend some money. ;-(

Send me the eeprom 24c01 dump and I`ll make it multi region

I have tried the hack posted by palmiris and can confirm it DOES NOT work (which is probably a good thing because I would not be able to convert back to watch my larger collection of R2 titles!) Besides that does anyone out there think that maybe there is the possibility this machine must have a test mode of some kind - any TOSHIBA engineers out there??
