Page 1 of Hotmail deactivation!!!!!

Has anybody else received an email from Hotmail about deactivation of their account?
I assume it is bogus as it came through in my Junk Mail and has asked for my Hotmail ID and Password. Also the English they use seems very suspect!!!! :o

Not got one of those - just checked - but yes, it sounds as suspicious as you can get...

Especially as i have been using Hotmail for years now on a daily basis. Think I better ignore this one!!! :)

Yes, ignore it. No-one at MSN will ever ask for your password, they treat it like a PIN number

All official MSN Hotmail emails carry the MSN logo.

It`s a virus email. I had a warning about it from my anti-virus software company (i get daily virus email updates).

Something like clicking on the link sets in motion something that searches for email addresses, xml and something else and mails itself out and makes everyone unhappy generally.

And yes i`m bitter and twisted about the number of viruses/worms that are finding their way to my inbox.

I get similar with my Bigfoot account, even including a nifty little zip attachment. Duh! Do they think we are that stupid?
