as it say`s above, :) i won`t let this thread die (yet) not getting much responce over in the pc & mobiles forum so i`ll try it here as well :D so if you have a copy of UNREAL TOURNAMENT 2004 on pc mac or linux, say hi :) we only have a few members (so far) and play at all skill levels (ie, we get profesionally owned most of the time ;) ) we also need a name for the clan, recomendations ? :D :D :D :D

I will have a serious think about it. But, TBH, this week I am mostly playing Battlefield: Vietnam.

Its just sooooooooo much fun.

Nick - how does Battlefield: Vietnam compare to Battlefield: 1942?
I bought Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and wasn`t overly impressed (nothing really beats Day Of Defeat for me! ;))

Well, tbh, i didnt think that much of it at first. It ran like a dog and was really buggy.

2 or 3 patches later, its my most played game by a long way. I prefer it to BF:1942 in many ways. The vehicles are more fun to drive, the weapons have more kick and the soundtrack is amazing. Dog fighting in the jets is brilliant fun as is strafe rocketing a beach invasion in your charlie chopper. I love it, personally and have got a lot more mileage out of it than UT2004.

To be fair its really horses for courses and theres not a great deal in it. Its more BF:1942 V2.0. The 1942 community is a lot bigger and has more mods, BF:V looks and sounds better and is (imho) more fun to play.

Just been on the Assault games on UT2004...and felt like a master when I managed over 20 kills in a row with the sniper rifle, including about 5 head shots. I`m sitting there all big headed like - then look at the scores and realise that I`ve been playing against bots!!! :(

Ah well, it`s still practice for when I`m getting killed by the Ogster ;)

(We still need new blood though..excuse the pun!)

B. for some reason i can`t get the hang of assault (or anything other than deathmatch tbh) i think i`ll need to book you in to train me up ;)
