Swisstech Wireless Audio Port £9.95

Just got one of these from my local BP, cost less than 10 Litres of petrol! it`s an FM transmitter for use with Ipods/MP3 players.

Works just fine, volume a little low, sound quality rather good. Mind you it`s rechargeable battery (supplied) was probably low so may get more volume after a charge. With it`s supplied cigar lighter socket charger thing.

:) :) :) :) Wanted one for a while, am happy bunny now! :) :) :) :)

Strange that BP would be stocking them seeing as they would be promoting breaking the law even though it would be legal to sell them?

Saying that Im off down to my local BP (walking of course)

These things are useful - but out of built up areas. In places like london, the FM waveband is too crowded for them to function properly - you need to have at least 0.5 degrees on either side free to use it peacefully, otherwise you will get a crackling noise. This is more frequent with the lower powered ones - can the OP review his unit please? I have one, but wouldnt mind another one (especially at the price).

Which of course is the USA authority that regulates interstate and international
communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable for the US.

They are illegal in this country because the UK authorities (Ofcom\DTi) deem it so.

Nope like most things of this nature that transmit a signal, legal to sell but illegal to use.

Having said that I might walk up to BP & take a peek if they have any.

I quite like the Helpdesk people in a benevolent (as opposed to malevolent) way as they do some valuable work in preventing us being inundated by every halfwit who can work a phone.

Quick review. It works fine, sound quality is perfectly acceptable, volume is better on my own MP3s than downloaded ones.

Overall, a tenner well spent.
