Page 1 of aldi PC 5.1 Surround Sound System

any thoughts on the speaker set from aldi, coming thurs (£24.99)?

anyone know if it is any good, or have any experience of other tevion sounds systems?

If this is the same as the Medion 5:1 sytem I bought a year ago for around the same price you can`t go wrong. I couldn`t resist it at the price and would have given it away if it had not been any good. I`ve still got it and it`s great. :)

How do the speakers connect to the PC or DVD player? TOS Optical / Digital Coax or 6 x phonos ?

got one set this morning, very nice, although each small speaker uses rca type cable connection to the sub and then the sub has 3 lots of rca (white/ red) connectors to 3.5mm jacks for use on the sound card.

after unpacking it, i found out my sound card does not support 5.1 and i now need to change that. it`s very nice though and on the test i have been able to do, with 2 of the 6 speakers (6 inc sub) at any one time, the sound appears very crisp and clear.

the individual speakers are extremely thin and very stylish, well worth the £24.99

Dont suppose this would suit a small room and useable on a dvd player with 5.1 outs?

Yes it would be perfect for a small room. Shame the Pacific 1002 does not have 5.1 RCA outs, only Digital Coax and TOS Optical :-(
