Hi Diverse...the situation is even funnier than that...

An RPoints employee (I wonder if it was this one) actually posted details of the iPods and the PS2 deals on the RPoints site using text lifted from mine - word for word. (acknowledgement: In fairness, he did find the PS2 bargain himself but still chose to use my iPod text with different numbers inserted). When challenged about the source of his editorial he amusingly claimed it was all his own work, based on something he read on my site...and then he threw in a few barbed comments about my site for good measure. Not very professional, if you ask me.

I`m all for people using my site as a source of info and passing the info on (with or without an acknowledgement) - afterall, sharing info is what the bargain community is all about and I can`t be everywhere at once. However, it`s really not good manners to lift the details word for word from another site without an acknowledgement for the editorial copy. That`s just plain lazy and self-serving.

Ironically, RPoints have strict rules about giving appropriate recognition when using content from their site! Shame they don`t reciprocate when they lift other people`s content.

Oh well....
