Page 1 of Fujifilm S3000 for £99 at PC World

Thought I might let out the news one day in advance. From tomorrow (11th August 2004), PC World will be selling off the remainder of the Fujifilm S3000 stock for £99. In Store offer only apparently and whilst stocks last. Cracking 3.2MP camera with 6X Optical Zoom. Source of this information? My mate works at PC World.

Ive just been into PC World and the camera is £129.99. Anybody found it on sale for £99?

also been to pcworld they have the same price but said they would price match if they reduced it again

your friend might not have been feeding you porkies, It could be one particular store were they have got surplus stock and they are on a manager special.
Do let us know which store it is.
PC World offers normally come out on a Thursday morning ready for the weekend.

Walked past Dixons (Bluewater) today still @ £189, so even at £129 its a fairly good price.

Even better @ £99 though. ;)

It got a very good review from Steve`s digicams so £129.99 ain`t bad but it does come from an older generation of cameras and for another £12 you could get an Olympus C-725UZ with an x8 zoom here

The problem with the Fuji (from the review) was it`s slow performance making it unsuitable for sports photography which is a shame as a x6 zoom would have given it a definate advantage over the more usual x3 models.

OK guys, please accept my apolgies. Seems my friend gave me wrong info. I went into my local PC World and it was £129 as well. Somehow not that atrractive now. Will remind myself in future not to post until 100% confirmed.
