Was this the one they were selling for £42.99 a few weeks back. Getting mixed up as they also had a DVD player for £30 last week and the one which was £42.99 was now £39.99. Dont know any model numbers etc.

Just bought a Pacific 1002W from Asda. Bargain at £39 !! I have entered in the multi region hack below and everything works fine. This machine has played everything I have thrown at it so far. Picture/sound quality is great.

Yes, but asda will give you a 3 yr warranty for free - worth the extra couple of quid IMO

I think the 3 yr warranty has finished - too many people taking the p*** I heard. Let me know if you heard different.

Yes Asda no longer do the 3 year free warranty,costing them to much through abuse.
How do I know ? My better half works for them.

i picked one up and its a stella machine for the price Multi region out the box no hack required.. perfect for the bedroom too with its superb Zoom function i can zoom up on those 2.35.1 scope movies which look alot better zoomed abit on my 14" portable..

go get one now..

Picked one up - did the 13690 hack and all is well :)
