Cyberhome 400 @ £50!

aja007 (Elite) posted this on Sunday, 4th May 2003, 22:52

I picked up this little beauty for £49.99 @ WH Smith!

It can be converted to multiregion (macro disabled!) by using the Cyberhome 402 hack.

Get one while you can at this price.

Are you sure it has macrovision disabled? I just bought one for my wife parents when we goto italy. Just in case we can`t get to Richersounds before we leave in June. But if it actually have macrovision disabled won`t even bother getting one at richersounds (would of got the same player I got now the acoustic solution series) for them.

I can test both the macrovision and the VCD tonight when I get the VCD disc out and the VCR to test it. will report back tomorrow the result.

How on earth do you get macrovision disabled?

cause at least on my bugger it is definetely not. (NB it does play VCD, SVCD, etc.)

But when I tried to connect to the VCR the colours faded in and out, and every so often the picture would scroll. granted not as bad as some macrovision protected player but it is still there. By any chance are you using scart or are you using the phono connection?

Hi Mark,

I simply used the Cyberhome 402 hack and it disabled the macro as well as converting the 400 to multiregion! I`ve just copied "Die Another Day" onto tape (using scart)for a friend without any probs.

It may be your vcr?
