RE: Techtronics - Be warned!

After 4 failed attempts at repairing my Yamaha they have now enlisted the help of an external agent. Two of the directors personally promised me (on Tuesday) a reply within 48 hours - guess what - still not heard a thing. They were ALL in a meeting all day. The external agent cannot look at my machine until next week - another weekend without my machine. It`s simple - Techtronics have my money and my machine and they frankly don`t give a monkey`s (keeping it polite here). My claim against them goes in on Monday - if your interested, I`ll keep you posted.

Banky

What are these other forums? As I am building my case against them, I need as much ammunition as possible. Please let me have the web addresses of these forums.
Also, I have now got local Trading Standards looking to see if they can help. Doesn`t look too favourable, but at least they know about there "Customer Service" and general attitude towards customers.

Thanks

RE: Techtronics - Be warned!

Have you met the directors!!??!! Couldn`t be more accurate.

RE: Good experiences of Techtronics?

Link Electronics, who loaned me a unit to prove my Amp was not faulty, "apparently" give you a "no quibble" 14 day money back offer - got to be worth checking out. As I said before,, they tend to be lower priced and considerable better service and atitude. If I ever get my money back, I`ll be buying a machine from them.

RE: Good experiences of Techtronics?

Avoid Techtronics at all costs. Suggest you try a company called Link Electronics. Address is www.linkonline.co.uk
Excellent service and they are cheaper.

RE: Good experiences of Techtronics?

Wait until something does go wrong!!!!!!

RE: Techtronics - Be warned!

Phil,

I bought a Yamaha s795 on 4th November. It was faulty from day one - audio drop-out on DVD playback. They have now repaired it 4 times and have now got the machine back for a fifth time. They will not give me my money back at all. They have blamed everything but the DVD player. I have checked my new Yamaha amp with a DVD from a competitor of Techtronics (they loaned me one as Tech. refused to). Leagally they are at fault as the machine is not fit for purpose or of merchantable quality. The Sale Of Goods Act states and I have checked with solicitors that they are in the wrong. However, the only way to a refund is the Small Claims Court, and even then I cannot guarantee my money back. I think if enough people get together we can get someone to take action. Local Trading Standards for Lincolnshire can`t help unless they receive a LARGE number of complaints. Lets start collating these complaints and maybe someone will take note. Any suggestions or help, please let me know.
