RE: Dell Celeron 1.50GHz 512MB 60GB 15.4inch WXGA (N02135a) £397

Hi,

No issues with credit my friend, there was a posted Q on the other thread about getting a link for what I had - hopefully whoever wanted it has got it!

Take Care

RE: Dell Celeron 1.50GHz 512MB 60GB 15.4inch WXGA (N02135a) £397

Pavlovspooch

This is the deal mentioned in the other Dell Laptop site that I have posted and you commented on - well done for finding a useable link for others! The spec seems great for the price, will let the site know when I receive it!

I used the Greasypalm.co.uk website for 1.75% cashback - better than nothing I suppose!

RE: Dell Laptop £339

From memory I used Reestit`s link from the 1st page of this posting. It is the normal laptop with the offer - model number - L02135A

I think you can still configure this model - try the link from the 1st page. Must get the model with the `a` at the end of the model number to get this price.

Cheers

RE: Dell Laptop £339

Ordered one of these at £409 just now - think there was another link within this posting, as the 15.4" WideScreen, 512mb Memory, longer life battery and 60gb hard disk were included as standard, just requested the 90-day servicing as everyone has stated to do. I tried to match the same system component for component via the normal website, and saved over £110 doing so.

Well, I thought the price was okay - £60 for delivery though! (included in the £409 before anyone asks!). Did come with a £50 off deal though again automatically.

Thanks for posting, a littl epresent from this years` bonus!

RE: CHEAP MUSIC DOWNLOADS CHART ALBUMS

Hi,

This site was listed for a few minutes on this forum a couple of years ago - was taken off by mods re legality question, but I managed to find out just in time!

Been featured on www.bbc.co.uk - not strictly illegal, but maybe not legal was the decision by the court judges! Also was in computer press a couple of months ago re the ruling. Do a search on the bbc website!

Excellent quality and service - absolute 1st class. Haven`t bought an album since. Downloader is very good as well. Most of my team now use this great site.

RE: Emtek DVD+r 100pk £17.49 @ amazon.co.uk

Re the comment about the cost of the Verbatim DVD R`s at Sainsburys, note that these are 16 x speed, and the Emtek are 8x speed. Still a decent price though, and with free postage from Amazon.....

For those wanting a good price on 16 x, look at SVP for these - Printable and only £5.99 plus postage.

My New IPOD Video outputs on all my TV`s in Black and White - Help*

Bought a 60gb version - a really good piece of kit I have to say.

One of the features is Video Out to a TV - Great, I thought.

I bought a non-Apple lead, and tried my camcorder lead (The leads goes from the Headphone Socket on the IPOD to the AV on the TV) - All I get is a Black and White Picture, with sound.

I know about the clever Apple switch of colours - Using the Yellow Plug in the Red socket as that is the Video out part of the lead. If you don`t do this you get no picture!

I have also looked at the NTSC / PAL output - tried both on the IPOD, and in 3 different TV`s in the house, all with the same Black & White Issue.

Apart from buying the Original Apple Lead at £15 + postage, (which I am not convinced will correct the problem) I am now stuck! Anyone else had the same experience or found any help on-line?

Thanks!!!!!

RE: Walt Disney Treasures

Also available at Amazon.co.uk - all at £5.97 and in stock!

RE: Pro Evolution Soccer 5 - £14.99 at HMV & free p&p

Just had an email.

I was ordering 2 (one for me, one for brother in law), but HMV has sussed the problem.

To my amazement, they have agreed for 1 at the wrong price to be sent out!

If your order was for 1, you get 1 - if it was for any other number, you get 1.

If you made multiple orders under the same email address, you get 1.

There we go, some result then! :)

RE: 50 DVD-R spindle packs...£9.01 from Staples!!! - Now BOGOF!

I have tried about 5 copies so far today, with my LG Drive. No problems at x4 and x8, found the top speed straight away.

Used DVDShrink and Nero software.

Were advertising the BOGOF in my Staples, strange price though. Any thoughts?

RE: Sky+ £49 with refurbed box

Hi,

Mine Installed today, was a Pace 3000 box - old style. I had just bought an updated box from ebay auction so the guy installed that instead.

£49 was cheaper than normal installation.....

RE: LOTR gift sets for a ridiculous price at DVDSOON!!!

For those interested in the Saving they have made, look at DVDSoon now for the prices of these boxsets!

Mine are still on order, but great prices initially thanks poster.

RE: Sky+ £49 with refurbed box

Same here - Installation included which is brill and worth getting even if you have just bought a box off ebay - local bloke wanted £100 to install so still a £50 saving on that!

They didn`t want to discuss it until the refurbished deal was mentioned, and that was it.

Thanks to the original poster

RE: Inkjet Cartridges : Epson, Xerox and Canon - £1 each + Free Delivery

Just received a bag of cartridges that I ordered before the site message came up. Perhaps this is a genuine situation..... Watch out for your orders.

I think the 7 day period is up today, await your emails or orders ;)

RE: The Simpsons Seasons - Starting from under £10 inc. P+P*

"Why don`t DVDSoon take Switch?"

Switch is a UK Only card system, therefore any overseas don`t take it.

Switch have are or moving to the `Maestro` card system, which is Mastercard based - check your bank for details, or choose a bank with `Visa Delta` which can be used overseas!

Now, any more cheap DVD`s....

RE: CREATIVE ZEN 20GB

They sent me an adaptor plug with the player - big lump in the packaging!

See the price has gone up at pixmania now..... :(

RE: ALDI Tevion DVD Recorder on sale 28/4

Available at amazon is a great DVD Recorder that is multi-region, multi format, and handles Xvid and DivX as well as the usual features. Just bought one and it looks and plays superb:

RE: Columbo series 2?

Don`t forget to try DVDSoon - Got mine from there some time ago. Shame to say it, but A-Team ol 2 is currently on its way too!

RE: Philips Dvdr70

One kicking around on ebay (DVDR 75) for a couple more hours. I have one, it`s a great machine.

RE: Anyone on here seen the Yamaha YSP-1 yet ?

Hi,

Bought one last week via ebay - was a brand new sealed boxed one.

Have to say it sounds very good. The surround speaker aspect has plenty of manual settings to play with, as well as a standard `easy set-up` facility.

About the same length as a 42" Plasma - fits nicely.

Has 2 x Digital Optical and 1 x Digital Co-Axial Input, as well as normal phono connection.

If you want less clutter, and a really good sound I don`t think you can go far wrong.

Paid £670 on ebay, worth looking on there. ;)

RE: Whatever has happened to CDandDvd bargain forum ?

Had 2 emails from them this week as well - some good offers they were advertising!

USB Ports don`t want to Work

Hi,

Have an Advent PC, running Windows XP SP2

Up to Xmas now problems, but since none of the USB or the built in Memory Card reader doesn`t work.

Checked ports - they all work as I have a light tester that shines when plugged in the usb port

Gone through Device Manager, and no USB devices listed - just the Hubs and controllers. Have un-installed and re-installed drivers, deactived and re-activated. No changes. updated drivers as well.

Rolled back SP2 so left with SP1 - no change.

Running out of ideas...

Problem may have occured due to a failed installation of a scanner - Have deleted / uninstalled the software, etc. Did throw up a `USB has too much power` type message. Can`t be sure that nothing has worked since, but it was around the same time.

Have I got to do something to the Registry? How do I edit this and what to if this is the solution.

Also, is the `program` `usbdetector.exe` an important one?

Thanks everyone,

Justin

RE: Looking for an MP3 of a Barbra Streisand song from Songbird Album: Honey, can I put on your clot

I have used the site and this one : www.allofmp3.com for over a year - no problems. Great value!

RE: 20 % off with fidelity card @ dvdsoon.

There is an additional 2.75% - 2.85% added to the currency exchange rate - you can`t physically see it, but it is there with most cards!

If you draw cash out overseas (and here in the uk) - you pay around an additional 1.5% and that is listed on your statement.

Expensive perhaps, but if there is any fraud going on with your card, at least you can claim money back and get some protection.

Some cards have lower or no fees - check your own.

27p per £10 isn`t too bad a price.......

RE: Monsters Inc £2.99 at Richer Sounds (yes really) - free P&P

For those who are interested in what happened to the `10` Monsters Inc DVD`s that I managed to get, they all went into my firms Tsunami Auction for a couple of weeks time.

I figured they could make a couple of quid each for a very decent cause.

I am sorry that a few of you did not get the DVD you may have wanted - number of times we have all seen a bargain, and then just missed it.

Apologies to those who are angry with me - hope this is an opportunity to put ALL of the facts available to all posters.

Regards,
