This unit is upgraded by using the LG region set factory CD that you put into the drive of the dvd player and this allows you to change the region to your desired region or to 0 for region free. I can send you this CD if you like

I have the hack for the Daewoo DVG -5000D if that is any help, i have posted it below
let me know if this is of use
1nalhcalcam.werdna[at]moc.dlrowltn
1. Turn the player on
2. Press Open/Close, to open the tray
3. Press Setup on the Remote Control
4. Press Play
5. Choose TV Type in the menu with Remote Control
6. Press Stop on the players front panel (NOT from the Remote)
7. Press ¦< (Prev) on the players front panel
8. Press >¦ (Next) on the players front panel
9. The Region ID menu should come up
10. Select the desired Region (with Remote Control) setting to Bypass for Region free
11. When you have selected the desired Region press Play
12. Now press Setup on the Remote.
Converting to Multi-Region if the above does not work:
1. Power On.
2. Insert a disk.
3. Press Stop twice (full Stop).
4. Press Setup.
5. Press II (Still/Pause).
6. Press Previous.
7. Press Next.
8. The "Factory Control Page" Menu will appear on the Screen.
9. Move to Region Code with Arrow/Direction Buttons on the Remote Control and press Play.
10. Press Setup.

The media is recorded on dvd-r, it came with instructions and everything, i will leave feedback soon, why would I be the seller ? I am only trying to help people out, The dvd worked for me, and i am trying to help other people who are looking for the upgrade, whats the problem ?????

I bought the dvd that is advertised on ebay and I can confirm to you all that this dvd works, I also used it to upgrade the players that friends of mine own and it works on those too, I apreciate that you may have read the link on dvdrhelp, but I can asure you, THIS DVD WORKS !!!!
Type in Panasonic Service DVD Number 2 on the search tab in ebay, and search all catagories, that is how I found it
Thank god that this dvd is now available !!!!!!

there is a remote hack for this player as well as lots of other sony players. You will need a Palm pilot inorder to hack this player, plus you will also need to down load a specific zip file in order to place a remite control file on palm pilots configeration drive.
Once you have downloaded the zip file and installed it on the palm pilot, please do the following
2. Create a new section for the DVD player and create 5 buttons. Train the PALM to recognise the buttons to be numbers 1 -> 5.
3. Use the advanced->databases [export category] to export the data to memopad. Sync you palm and paste the data into memo pad form.

4. Resync your palm and then start omniremote. Use advanced->databases [import category] and import the updated config.
5. Place the DVD player on standby.
6. Press each button twice ie: 1,1,2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5.
If it has worked the DVD player will switch on and WILL "POWER ON" on the display. It will just power on normally. ** NOTE **: This is different to the power-on sequence for the DVP-NS 405.
7. Repeat this again and the DVD player will revert to standby.
Alternate Method for converting to Multi-Region:
This works with a Pronto remote, use ProntoEdit for the codes.
1. Program the Hex code (below) into 5 buttons of your choice.
2. Put your DVD-player to standby mode (main power on and red light above it).
3. Press your newly programmed buttons sequentially from 1 to 5. (Your DVD player should start up).
4. Repeat step 3. (Your DVD player should go into Standby mode again).

Can any body help with the code for the above named players ? there was a hack before for the cat 2025 system that was sold in Lidl, so I hope there is one for these models

We have this player at our office in the presentation room. As it is a great player, finding a hack for it is difficult. There is a hack for it, as I have been given the info by goodmans uk that the code does exist, but as the player is new on the market it will take time for technicians like myself to find out how to access the firmware chip and alter the region settings.

Why dont you try Goodmans themselves, if there is a way of using a hack,like on the rest of the goodmans range, they should be able to tell you, they told me the hack for my player. Or maybe try Tridek, the richer sounds approved upgrade service, they will know.
